I was about to buy the Tom Bihn-designed Brain Cell sleeve for my new laptop but saw an announcement in the last few days for the new Willow Design Minimus.

Both are essentially perfect as far as what they are- but my deciding factor will be based on which of the two has tougher protection and padding.

Any thoughts on this?

Thanks.

It looks like the Brain Cell offers better protection (I have the Monolith from Tom Bihn, which has the same kind of protection and it's great -- not that I've done a crash test ).

The Willow Minimus looks like it's less tough but with a tighter fit.

I'd go with the Brian Cell for stronger protection.
