All's running as before, 10.3.2 has been great. Energy Saver settings vary between Best Performance/Automatic/Longest Battery Life.

Fan is still the same as usual, even in a warm room.

I haven't heard the fan since Puma (Mac OS X 10.1).
(Could that be because it's broken?)

I don't think so. Test it:
Put your iBook on a bed (preferably yours), there the heat isn't deduced as it would be on a desk. Then run one or two Quicktime Movies in a loop or play a divx file. When the fan doesn't come on in half an hour or earlier, I'd say it's broken. But I bet it comes on after some minutes.

I have never heard the fan on my 900MHz iBook. Is it noticable (i.e. louder than the HD)? I often lie in bed with my iBook on my lap, so I would assume I would get hot enough then (definately warms my lap after a while).
Cheers!

That sucks. It seems that we've got to wait until Apple releases the next update or the update after that. So far, since the fan issue would be a show-stopper for me, i'll stay with 10.3.1.
