So in the 2 weeks I've had my iBook G4 on several occasions all of a sudden, it just goes to sleep, while I'm using it, for no reason, and nothing will bring it back, no keystroke or anything, except closing the lid, and opening it up again. Then it wakes up. Anybody know what's up with this?

Hmm. Don't know. But, just so you're not completely alone, my iBook will go back to sleep after I wake it up sometimes. I don't know why, but it occationally does. This is with Panther.

On second thought, I noticed something similar on an iMac. It would be running, then all of a sudden the system seemed to drop into sleep mode, as the power indicator showed, anyway.
The problem with it was a bad power supply/analog board (or whatever the power stuff inside was).
Maybe you should try resetting your power manager.

This happens to me. Also there are times that I open the lid and it stays sleeping. I have to tap the space bar and then it does the double sleep/wake thing. The annoying part is that I have guests over for the holidays so I have my ibook ask me for a password everytime it turns on or wakes from sleeping. So I have keep inputing my password. when it does that double sleep/wake thing.
