Here's the story. A friend (exchange student) of mine is over the holidays back in New York. He going back to europe on the 9th of january.

I got an iBook over ebay, witch my friend should bring along with him to europe. however the ebay seller never answered.

Otherwise its even a lot cheaper to get the ibook in the USA then in Europe even if I had to buy a new one.

my only problem is that built to order would not arrive in time for going back with him. So my question is, were could I / (my friend) get a

12" iBook with 60GB HD, Bluetooth, extra RAM and Airport

till the 9th of january. order would be better, because I could pay with my credit card.

thanks.

You could still pay by CC at the store as well. 60 Gig I think can only be ordered at the online AppleStore though you could call a store and see. If he doesn't need the 60 gig then I would say just go to the apple store and get one. If you can come here to NJ and save yourself on the Tax it's only 6 percent here as opposed to 7-8.65 in NY state and NYC.

If you have that much time you could still get a stock ibook with a airport card (don't know about the extra hard drive space or bluetooth though) thru a reseller such as Amazon.com etc and save the sales tax and get free shipping as well.

Or use one of the various resellers listed at:

I have always heard good things about

Tekserve

I'm pretty sure they do upgrades on the spot so you might be able to order exactly what you want through them.

He should try to go by the Apple Store in Soho, it's supposed to be a beaut.

Good luck,

JT

TEKSERVE IS EXCELLENT... they are on 23rd street between 6th and 7th avenue..closer to 6th avenue on the north side of the street. And I'm sure they could do a custom job fast for you.
