The end of the AC adapter that plugs into my iBook has broken at one of the indentations on the semi-rigid section of the cord. Green stuff seems to be seeping out. I don't know what it is. It doesn't seem to have a smell. Corrosion released fluids? The end result of a non-working "Charging" indicator? (My adapter ring only glows green.) There also seems to be a little bit on the indentation on the opposite side. I don't think I have anything nearby that could have gotten into it from the outside, also, I don't see any of the substance anywhere else on the plug; just the indentation.
What is this? (P.S. I just got a new battery (the one used in the iBook G4—the feet don't match).

Uhhh, there shouldn't be any liquid in there.
Perhaps that plug (unbeknownst to you) got dunked in liquid?

Well, it hasn't been dunked. As I mentioned before, I see no signs of residue anywhere else. Also, it's been in in my room the whole time. It's just very weird…
