hey all,

my girlfriend just received her brand spanking new ibook 800mhz G4. I have a 15" 1.25 ghz Albook and I have been comparing the airport reception between the two. The Ibook wins by a bar on the airport icon.
Before i updated to panther i was geting a full strength reading with jaguar. I have read that other uses reception with panther has diminished somewahat since upgrading. At first I thought that it was panther and the way it displayed the icon (probably inaccurately). However, since comparing it to the ibook also running 10.3.2 and both laptops equi-distant from the modem I am beginning to think it's possibly the combination of panther and the metal vs plastic casing of the laptops that is causing the difference. any thoughts?
