I have an ibook 600. Each app I launch, the icon turns into a folder. I dont know why. Also, I cannot move any of the icons also. They are like stuck in their locations, no matter what I do I can't move them. Now I have a dock full of icons that are folders, and I can't remove them either. Is this some sort of icon virus?

Try to open Terminal in /Applications/Utilities, and enter the following commands :

sudo rm -f /Library/Caches/com.apple.dock.iconcache.*
sudo rm -f /Library/Caches/com.apple.LaunchServices.*
killall Dock
killall Finder
