After installing 10.3.2 on my PowerBook the battery charge says it will last 2:40 with a full charge.....while with 10.3.1 I was getting like a little over 4 hours.
Any one with theses kind of problems?

Or does 10.3.2 have the same problem the first update of 10.2.8 had?

I've been told it is a good idea to recalibrate the battery. Try it.

Fully charge the battery, then unplug the powerbook. Keep using it until it forces the powerbook to sleep (ignore any warnings). Once that happens, plug it in and let it fully charge. This will calibrate the battery. Also, a reason you may see lower estimated lives is because the algorithm is smarter now. In 10.3.1 it was less accurate. Also, I wouldn't go by the ET anyway. I would just go by percent and time it to see what real world gives you. ET is just that, estimated.

All I was told was that in 10.3.2 it is much more conservative in it's estimate.

I did re-callibrate the battery last night. Then when it finished cahrging I unplugged the charger and a low battery warning came up says that I was now using reserve battery and the time left of use was 3 minutes....but the battery icon looked as a full charge....a minute after on the time left of charge showed 5:02 hours left of charge. I think the calibration solved the problem.

Now I am running X-charge to see how long my battery is lasting and if that 5:02 is true or not.

I recharged mine too. Lasts 1.50 now. Either Panther sucks or my battery hasnt got a very long shelf life. New PB purchased in March 2003 - shouldn't deteriorate that quickly should it?
