Bought some Centon memory from Circuit City. Went through two sticks of DDR2700 before I got one that worked. The two that my 15 inch Al spit out had the ram chips mounted in a manner that allowed you to see the legs were it attatchd to th chip.
The one that worked and did not give my any errors was mounted in a way that did not show the legs. If you buy Centon memory make sure to run the Hardware test on it!

I bought the 512mb pc2700 centon stick at circuit city and had no problems with it on my 12in running 10.2.7. But as many have pointed out, their ram worked perfect in Jaguar and then they upgraded to panther and had problems. So this could be part of your problem if your running panther.

Hmm... I've a rev B 12" running panther 10.3.2, and I've got the centon 512 mb pc2700 stick of ram. No problems for about 1+ months now. Perhaps it was just a particularly bad batch of ram you've got there?
Well, circuitcity is usu very good about returns and stuff. glad you get a good stick of ram in the end!

Yes Circuit is the best local retailer for returns. They swapped out the Ram with no hassles.. Best Buy on the other hand s*cks!

Does anyone know if AppleCare works on Saturdays? I sent one of my Powerbooks in for repair yesterday. I was suprised to see that it arrived at the Houston Apple Care facility today.
