If I really want to keep oil and dirt off both my keyboard and my screen, should I get an iSkin to cover the keyboard and and also a separate product to cover the screen?
What I don't want to happen is for the iSkin to catch the dirt and oil but then deposit it on the screen.
Would any of this create so much bulk that might strain the latch?

What I would like is a source of the thin foam like insert that comes between the keyboard and screen when you get your new Powerbook.
I still have the original that came with my book but i'd like a few more for safe keeping. Any one have ideas about a source of this material?

It might but I don't think it will because the screen protector is pretty thin. I would get the iSkin and just use that. What I would do is carry some handi wipes or something to clean it every so often.

I have the iSkin thingy for my TiBook keyboard. I leave it on all the time, and it's just fine. It even adds springyness to the keypad. It's easy to wash and dust and hairs aren't falling in between the keys.
The leave it on all the time aspect makes it a cut above the rest for me. I don't think it's straining the latch- I've had it for a few months now.

Well, if anyone has any bad experiences with leaving the iSkin on all the time, I'd love to know also. Send me a private message.
Oh, is there any great way to secure the iSkin on the powerbook keyboard. Besides a bit of glue (blah, never!)? Does anyone have problems with it slipping off.

I personally own and would recomend the radtech ScreensavRZ from www.radtech.us. They are like $12 and well worth the money. Very good material to clean the screen with and protects the whole screen. Also, they are very thin so you don't have to worry about any undue stress on your hindges/latch.

I agree with the Radtech ScreensavRZ. Nice, soft material that you can use to wipe the screen also. Machine washable too.
