i use my g4 ibook with airport to access the net via a wireless access point. i only have a weak signal and arent able to get to the access point to boost the signal. is there any way i can add something to the laptop to make the reception better?

Well, you can always ask your neighbour whose wifi you are leeching to move the basestation closer to your flat, that will certainly improve your reception

Seriously, I don't know. The antenna is internal, so any changes would incorporate some serious surgery. Have you tried to turn on the interference suppression? Might make your connection more stable. Also I have heard mentioned that channel 11 is best for iBook reception. Try searching the forums

close but not quite!
theres a connection for everyone to use at university
but my desk seems to be at the edge of the range
