Hello to all- I have a clamshell iBook, 300 meg processor. Recently when the battery charge indicator shows about 90% of the battery left (the battery was fully charged) the iBook just quits. I used to get a low battery warning, now it just quits. Any ideas? Also, at about the same time, the desktop picture reset itself to the factory settings. Could this be related? Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks
Rick

Definitely need a new battery. For the clamshell iBook, the clock AND/OR system preference (sound, desktop images, etc) will change back to default.

I called AppleCare last summer and ordered a new battery for my iBook (same model as you own).. it costed me ~$160.
