Is there any way to get iTunes to recognize a TDK VeloCD 52x for burning right out of the app? Or am I stuck using Toast (which does recognize it)?

Seems kind of odd to me that a burner that is recognized in the OS is not able to be used by iTunes. Does it require Apple to actually build in support into Itunes?

Sorry if this sounds dumb, but I have an IDE burner that I share between my computers (in an external USB/Firewire box), and was hoping to be able to use it with the Mac when I signed up for Itunes.

I just bought a Pismo Firewire for next to nothing, and it is my first Mac, so I am still trying to figure this all out.

OS is 10.3.2 if that matters.
