I have the opportunity to buy a Rev A 17" at a pretty darn good price, still new in box. I know what the specs are of the two machines, I'm just curious if anybody has real world experience with the two, and if so have you noted any significant differences in day to day operation. Is the Rev B model noticeably faster? Is the video card that much better?

Also, are there any Rev A bugs that I should be on the lookout for?

Any input would be appreciated.

No real world experience with both, but I have a RevA and it's just great. If you plan to do a bunch of heavy-duty gaming, the 9600 on the RevB is very fast.

I believe other than Speed the only other difference with the rev A and rev B is the video card.

Don't forget USB2 and 2X DVD burns, although the latter can be hacked on rev A Powerbooks.

The rev A will be left in the dust when the G5 powerbooks come out. If you get the rev B, you won't feel quite so bad
