I have a battery issue that the usual fixes don't seem to fix.
I have a PowerBook 1Ghz (Titanium) that is exhibiting strange battery issues. Unplugged, the PowerBook's battery will drain from 100% steadily down to around 50% over the course of a couple hours, and then it will instantly go to 0% and go into forced sleep mode. The usual low battery warnings don't appear.
I've tried this a few times now, and it happens every time. I've also tried resetting the PMU and resetting the PRAM, with no effect.
Just FYI, the capacity on the battery is 4.225Ah. And since my PowerBook is a 15" titanium model, the "battery update" software that Apple released last month can't be a culprit as that software was not designed for this model of PowerBook.
Anyone with similar experiences -- or better yet, solutions?
