G3 700, with added apple care is on its way.
Everytime I lift the computer to carry it, the screen freaks out and most of the time hads a major KP.
Anyone have any thoughts about what they will do? Is it fast turnaround?
The box came today and it went back out today. They should have it tomorrow.

I have only had to send one of my macs into apple, it was my first mac, a powerbook G3...that was back in 1998 - i think it took about a week to a week and a half from the time i sent it to get it back.

I've been waiting my iBook for over a month now. The logic board is on "hold" says Applecare Europe., and repair company tells me that Apple won't answer to them when they ask when it'll arrive. Most likely I'll have to wait another month. I'm starting to get angry...

My iBook was waiting for me when I got home last night. Apparently you cant go by the staus page on the website.
They did the repair as promised and I guess you can say they upgraded it.
I sent in a G3 700 with 16MB video and got back a G3700 with 32MB of video, so I wont complain about that.
However, I have noticed that they did not put the case back together proberly as the ports on the left side have a gap where the right side does not. And someone correct me if I am wrong, but shouldnt the machine go to sleep if you close the LCD?

I've sent my 5300s in several times, and my original ibook once. Usually, if it went in on Tuesday I had it back on Thursday, but sometimes it took an extra day. That's from the Southeast to Dallas and back.

My old iBook700 will be picked up in the next 2-3 days. I am so happy since i was looking at my old ibook every day with a sad face but now he will come back to life :-) and i will have 2 iBooks. I think i am going to use the G3 700+external HD as a server:-)
