So I am wondering if there are ways to increase/ replace the original battery (3d party venders etc) in a powerbook.
My battery is reletively new, however, when I upped the HD to a 7200 I lost about 40 minutes of battery life
I would do the switch again in a second, but I keep hearing about all these fantastic new batteries and wonder if any are available for PB's

Or if there are other ways to extend it's life...
For example, at home or office, it is mostly plugged in (& someone told me it is better to use the battery more often to prolong it)

Any thoughts are appreciated

It's generally a good idea to run your battery down to the point where your PB is forced to put itself to sleep. It's just a maintenance thing, but it supposedly helps keep you battery calibrated which translates into longer battery life per use and possibly even longer battery life in general.

Can't say that there are any phenomenal methods or products that will make your PB's battery more efficient. Just maintain it and all should be well.
