My i tunes won't let me burn cds and is giving me a hard time when I try to import music. It tells me that the disc is full. I'm not sure where this disk is. Is it the hard drive? Any ideas? Any info would be appreciated.

thanks for reading

Yes, it means there isn't enough room on the hard drive you are booting from (which, if you haven't partitioned, is just the one drive you have).

One way to fix the problem would be to delete some files you don't need (particularly the larger ones; if you get info on an item, you can see how big it is — you should concentrate on files that are about 5-10 MB in size). If the files are important to you, you would want to make a backup first.

Assuming you have Mac OS X, you can use this program to make a backup even though you are too low on disk space to use the DiscBurner software through the Finder.

You may also want to go to www.versiontracker.com and search for DeLocalizer. This will remove the files associated with languages you don't use, which can save several hundred MB of disk space.
