Sent in my Titanium for psychadelic display issue on Friday, got it back today with a new display. That's pretty amazing turnaround. They replaced:

Top housing subassy, 15.2
LCD bezel, Alum, pnt


can somebody tell me what this means? I know what the LCD bezel is but subassy, alum, pnt - anybody know?

Educated guesses:

Subassy = subassembly
Alum = aluminum (which part though?)
Pnt = paint (again, which paint? all of it?)

Probably just replaced all the aluminum case material surrounding the screen, in addition to the screen itself. The "top housing subassembly" I think means the back of the screen half of the PowerBook - the "top" if you lie it down on a desk, closed.

I guess what I was curious about is the aluminum and pnt - this is a titanium powerbook and it had no damage to paint whatsover...what is the subassembly?
