Why don't you just send the movies to your iBook over the network / FW target disk mode.

Hold down the "t" key when you start up your ibook and it basically becomes a hard drive then all you do is connect a firewire plug and poof you could now transfer stuff from one computer to the next.

You need an ethernet cable and an ethernet card on the PC
(if your PC already has an ethernet card, just buy any ethernet cable (should cost about $1).

No. Target disk mode is only for firewire.

This suppose that the PC will be able to read an HFS+ disk, which I really doubt... The best thing to do is to connect both computers with ethernet...

You need a third-party application for Windows to be able to see your Mac hard drive if you target disk mode.
And I'm pretty sure you couldn't use the burner in your Mac with your Windows system.
So your best bet is as pat++ said: use an ethernet cable to connect the two computers.

Unfortunately, there is no software yet that will allow sharing of CD-RW drives between Mac and Windows. Roxio's Toast Titanium for the Mac can share CD recorders between Macs, but not with Windows.
Your only alternatives would be to get a CD recorder for your PC (which are cheap these days) or to transfer your movies from the Gateway computer to the Mac over the network (which you could probably do right now).

OK, assuming no knowledge of networking at all in the posters place. What you need is an ethernet cable, it doesn't matter if it's cross-over or straight through because the Mac will take care of that. What you want to do then is to hook up the ethernet cable from the Mac to the PC. What you want to do next is on the PC find the folder where you keep your movies, right click on the folder and pick sharing, then choose to share this folder. Then in the finder on the Mac click network. There you should be able to find your PC, log in if you have a password, find the folder with your movies, and drag the movie over to your Mac desktop. from there you can use what burning software you want to burn the movie. This was just off the top of my head, so if there are errors feel free to correct me or elaborate.

Actually, newer machines share all IDE devices when put in Target Disk mode, vs. just the primary internal hard drive. If you hook an iBook G4 up, via target disk mode, you may be able to burn directly to the drive.

You cannot.
It's not putting the DRIVE on the FireWire bus, it's putting the mounted DISK onto the bus, if you see the distinction. (I know because I tried: I'd love to be able to use Target Disk Mode to use my PB's SuperDrive to burn from my other Macs.)
The solutions to the problem at hand are easy: either use Ethernet to transfer the files to the Mac and burn them from there, or just get a CD writer for the PC, which will be far less annoying if burning from the PC is something you have to do a lot.
