Hi,
I'm finding it really hard to push the display-release button of my 12" pb. My roomate has a 17" and all I have to do is to lightly touch it with my thumb to open the screen. However, with the 12", I can't "lightly touch" to open the screen, I actually have to stick my nail in it because my finger is too large, that is, the button has to go much deeper in order for the screen to be poped opened.
Is this normal? Or should I have Apple take a look at this. I'm getting scratches on the button already because of me pushing it with my nail
Also, is there any way to get rid of the scratches on the release button? It seems to be made of different material than the powerbook.
Thank you in advance

I know what your talking about, and I have the same case scenario. I stopped using my thumb and just started poking it with my pinky and voila no more scratches. I really dont see any reason to take it to an Apple store or even worse risk sending it in (stories about computers coming back with scratches and warps). No biggie for me.

Hmm, I was browing the forums, and someone mentions the "clear thin film on the latch button" that is removable. I wonder if that clear thin film still exist on PB now(I just got my 12" PB last week so I'm anal about scratches, I must apologize in advance), and maybe us who have scratches on the latch button can remove the film to get rid of the scratches?
If anyone have any info on what this "clear thin film" is, I would really appreciate if u could share it with us
