i have a g4 12" ibook. every so often a short "clink" type sound comes from the speakers or line-out. if i remember correctly, this was supposed to be fixed a few system updates ago.

does anyone else have the same problem?

In my case I stopped hearing it after the battery update. I keep a log of happenings with those things and I haven't heard that click noise on the speakers for a while now. I also got a battery changed, but I doubt that would be the cause.

Umm... What "clink" sound? I've had my iBook G4/12" for a couple of months now and I don't recall hearing anything out of the ordinary. Well, my system beep is the "glass" sound, anyhow.

yeah i have that problem too. It usually starts if I play a sound and comes from my left speaker, ibook G4.

I have no idea what it is or why it's happening.
