Using microsoft word today, I notice that the words on the upper part of the screen are bolder than the words on the bottom part of the screen. Same goes with other applications, it seems to be fading as I move my eyes down the screen. It might have to do with my angle at looking at the screen, but I'm a little tipped off. Is this normal? Or should I have apple take a look at it.

Are you looking directly at the screen or on an angle? Adjust the angle (or your head ) - if it is still like that, take it to a Mac store and compare.
