Hi

I need some advice regarding a trade in

I have a 17" PB Rev A with 1Gb Ram. I have been pondering trading it in for 12" PB (Superdrive,40gb, AE included,768Mb RAM) and 20" Cinema Display. The price including trade in is £600.

EDIT: I am now being offered the deal above with an 80Gb drive instead of 40Gb

The other new option available is to get a 12" (Superdrive,80Gb, AE, 768MB) and a 17" Display for £300.

Is this worth it? Or should I sit tight and trade in later when a 12" PB G5 is available and get the cinema display then as well ?

Any help appreciated

Thanks

Depends on your needs, if your a true road warrier, the 17" gets heavy as you know but if its more of a desktop replacement with an occasional mobile use then I'd stick with what you already have. You know what they say the grass is always greener, be happy with what you have.

Also - How's the 17" PB setup, speed, AE, superdrive, etc. If its configured similarly, memory difference aside I don't think your getting a good deal. You are trading it for a smaller display and a 20" cinema display.

If I was offered that trade, I'd say thanks but no thanks in a heart beat.
