random thought/suggestion/question.

you know those belkin fm transmitters for the ipod?

do you think it is possible to use one of those on an ibook?

then one would be able to carry the ibook around the room, and have the sound on your stereo system rather than the crappy internal speakers, simply by tuning in the radio on your hifi.

does anyone have any experience with this?

just bye, or build an (stereo)fm-transmitter and plug it in to the headphone jack. works perfectly for me, i'm using it with my car-stereo that doesn't have a line in.

Edit: Very good sound quality
