I just purchased two Powerbooks, a 12 Combo and a 15" SuperDrive. Both came with 768 Megs of ram, a 512 and 256 in each one. Just for fun I removed the 512 from the 12" Powerbook and installed it into my 15" powerbook. When I check memory info it says the slot that has the just added 512 ram stick is empty. I've tried moving it to the slower slot too. Same results. I know the ram is good on my 12".

Any ideas why this would be? I wanted to put 1GB of ram on my 15" and 512MB on my 12".

Cheers!

12 inch powerbook supports PC2100/266MHz DDR sodimm while 15 inch powerbook PC2700/333MHz DDR sodimm. Their RAM speed are different. 512MB memory in 12 inch powerbook is not working in 15 inch powerbook.
