Hi everyone!
I just bought more memory for my new iBook G4 (excellent machine, by the way). However, I got a 333 MHz RAM instead of a 266 MHz (512 MB). The RAM works fine though, at least so far. I've run the Hardware test CD and it reports everything as OK.
Is there anything I should be aware of running this 333 MHz variant, or should I just lean back and relax?
Cheers.

I will answer my own question here. Apparently the faster RAM will just run at a lower speed when used in an iBook G4.

the only time you really have issues is if you try to use slower speed RAM with a faster bus...then "Very Bad Things" can happen

To be extra sure before I fry my friend's iBooks ...
Can you safely MIX the 2 speeds in an iBook G4?
I have two leftover 256 MB DDR333's from from my 15" AlBook. I want to give them to friends who have iBook G4s. Can they use my faster RAM at the same time as their own 256 MB DDR266? (512 total.)
Anything wrong with them doing that?
Thanks.

Unfortunately, the iBook G4s can only accomodate one additional memory module. The iBook comes with 128MB built onto the motherboard (which, needless to say, cannot be removed). The one free slot, which is occupied by the Apple-shipped 128MB module, requires at least the PC2100 DIMMs.

Ah! I didn't remember that--thanks. My eMac's the same way.
So in that case, I assume it's OK to take out the iBook G4's second 128, put in my faster AlBook 256, and run just fine with that combination. (Total 384 MB.)
