...and I know a million people have already posted this same message, but I love it! I got the 14" 933 with 60gig HD, stock memory (512 on the way from crucial), and the basic apple external mouse for $1288 w/student discount. I am just totally blown away by how smooth the system works. Also, garageband ended up being a much more powerful application than I had expected. And the fact that it is compatible with my Roland synth from 1982 just totally blows me away. I finally understand why all the people who use macs love them.

Congrats and welcome to the light side. My roommate just got her first Mac today too from Apple, an iBook 14" 933 max ram. And she loves it too.

We never tire of hearing stories from new Mac owners! Have any pics to share?

I want to get the 933/14" too. Congratulations on your purchase...I'm glad to hear GarageBand works well. Did it come with your system or did you buy it extra?

thanks everybody. I just couldn't resist. My student loan check came in on a Friday; by Sunday I had made my decision. Haven't thought twice about it.

I'm also a new mac user. I bought my 800 G4 mainly 'cause it was way cheeper than any other new 12" laptop. I had no previous experience with mac, and boy was I surpriced... everything just worked... out of box. Wireless netwok, etc.

I hope you will be as happy with your iBook as i am with mine!
