I just bought an ibook on February 28,2004. I turned on the power, everything seemed to be okay, but when it reaches the select your country, it said keyboard is not installed. It's a labtop, the keyboard is built in. I can move the mouse nor the keyboard. help please!

There is a ribbon cable that connects the keyboard to the rest of the machine, and it could be dislodged.

You could lift the keyboard to see if the cable looks OK, but there's not much you could-or should-do about it.

It's time to contact Apple (or the reseller) for repair or replacement. Failing while you're just starting the setup is NOT acceptable.

I second that. Something this basic right away is NOT a good sign. Have them declare it DOA and get a new one.
