just wondering if there were plans to develop higher cap batteries. i've seen some, but none built by apple. apple replaced the battery in my 15" 1.25 and it's dropping in capacity again. nothing tremendous, but having a battery that lasts a little longer would be a big positive for me.

Why does it have to be from Apple?
You can order a 16 hour battery here.
Or just do a google search for Powerpad 160c.

Hmmm, so is this one one of the best rated one out there? If so, I might just have to pick one up.

With a power cable. There are different ones for the different types of connectors on laptops. The letter identifies that. The 160a is for IBM and something else. I think b is for Toshiba, Gateway, etc. The c one is for Apple notebooks.
They also have the Powerpad 120c which is supposed to be a 12 hour battery that's a bit cheaper.
But oops, it looks like the Albooks are not compatible. So only get this if you have a Ti. In fact, you might want to read the official compatibility list.
But on second thought, that doesn't make sense. Apple changed the Albooks to use basically the same adapter that the iBooks used.
Hell, you might want to just call them and discuss it.

thanks coolmac. external batteries are an interesting option, but i was actually looking for an internal battery. i can't remember where i saw one, but it was supposed to add considerable battery life. have any of you used an external battery?
