Hi, I have limited desk space and am currently using a PB Al 15" perching on an iCurve with external keyboard and mouse. I am thinking about getting an external display and here are two options I am entertaining: 1). purchase a 20" cinema display and use the PB in clamshell mode placed under the display, or 2). purchase a 17" studio display and use the PB in spanning mode with the iCurve next to the display. Option 2 is obviously much cheaper, but will lack the elegance of Option 1. Any thoughts or advice? Thanks.

If you can afford it, go with the 20". It's always nicer having your stuff on one screen.

The 20" is the brightest display of its kind on the market. Mine was one of my best purchases in awhile.

it is actually kinda cool having 2 screens with spanning on and can be wayyyy more useful as effectively you have super widescreen but it depends on what ure using it for. The 20" is brighter though. Also the cinema displays are way over due for an upgrade so you might wana look into that

The 20" is a much better display, not just in terms of size but display quality. I wouldn't buy the Apple 17" regardless, as I think it's overpriced and there are better quality displays available for less money.

If you can afford the 20", you'll never regret purchasing it. That is until the release a new model for $300 less.
