I only seem to be getting about 30mins life out of the battery on my TiBook 667 (so it's a couple of years old). Is it time to get a new battery of can life be brethed back into it. The PB is still under an Apple care warrenty purchased last year, will this cover battery death?

Try to use your PowerBook until it goes to sleep, and reset the PRAM. I went from 10mn to more than one hour of battery life on my iBook....

Hey, you've got Applecare, it's worth a try. The only reason you may get some response from Applecare is that your battery life is so dismal--because generally Apple argues that batteries will age over time so some battery life loss is expected, just not as much as your's . Did you get serious loss of battery life from the 10.2.8 first generation update? (There were reports of serious battery problems, amongst other things, and Apple came out with a rev B or the update).

Gather some info first, namely using XBattery to graph your battery life. Also, if you call Applecare, be calm and polite throughout, you don't want the techs entering negative comments about your problem.

You can also try resetting your PRAM and PMU. That has helped some people. You'll find info on how to do that on Apple's techsupport site.
