My sister managed to destroy the power supply plug that plugs in the iBook.
Is there a replacement plug I could get at an electronics store?
Thanks,
Alric

Did your sister destroy the whole power supply-the part that plugs into the wall-or the part that plugs into the iBook? This is just idle curiosity on my part, since I'd recommend looking for a complete replacement on eBay. The current crop of AC power adapters is a lot more than just a transformer and rectifier, so it's usually best to just replace the whole thing.

The part that goes into the the ibook. I have no idea how she managed to do it but the central connector is missing its top part.
I am afraid its going to come down to a new power supply.
Cheers,

Yup, a new power adapter is the way to go. You can probably find them on eBay for a lot less than Apple wants for them. Our new (in January) 12" 800MHz G4 iBook came with a 45W adapter, but I think the 14" iBooks may take a 65W device.

What type of iBook? I have the clamshell iBook and YoYo adapter. The part that plugs into the iBook is a slightly modified phono plug. A phono plug will fit into the jack and will probably work. My YoYo adapter is in fine shape, so I have not actually had to replace my plug. The YoYo adapter puts out 24 volts, although I don't know if it is AC or DC. I will measure it with a voltmeter Monday at work.
I don't know about the new iBooks and adapters.
