Hey All

I was wondering what kind of Range you guys are getting??? Wife-Type just got her New iBook with the Built-in BlueTooth(I have a Dongle). Her range seems very short about 8ft... My iBook with Dongle will go about 25ft. She really doesn't need any more Range(Using it to connect to her cell phone for internet). But could this be caused by something other than maybe a Bad antenna???

Thanks!!!

There's a lot of factors in wireless reception. Remember your external dongle has little between it and the rest of the world. Your wife's iBook has a fairly thick plastic case between the antenna and the rest of the world. Your dongle might also have a better antenna than the iBook. Your wife's antenna isn't necessarily broken, if it were there'd be no reception, but it simply might not be as good as the one you've got.

Hey Graymalkin

Thanks for the Reply!!!

I'm going to take it in, for my peace of mind. Dont' want her to think I don't want the Best for her...hehehe

I think maybe the power getting to it(BlueTooth card) may not be all that it should be. At 2.4 ghz (if thats what I believe the freq is)that amount of plastic shouldn't effect it unless it has some kind of shielding, which would seem kind of odd to be putting it around it.

Thanks!!!
