Hi all,

I wanted to post my opinions of the screensleeve screen protector from coolshield.com. I purchased one of these for my 17”PB

I give the company high marks in terms of shipping and service. I called the 800#, the lady answered all of my questions, took my order, and it was in my hands in 2 days.

When I opened the package (it shipped in a white padded envelope, and the screensleeve was folded up in a plastic bag with an instruction sheet) my first thought was, “I paid $30 for this?” Opening it up, I was surprised at how small it was and thought for a moment they sent me a 15” model instead of the 17” I ordered. Looking at the instructions, it clearly states that you have to stretch the material to get it to fit the first time.

As I tried to get it on my PB, I suddenly realized what my wife must go through when she puts on panty hose! Good grief it was a struggle to get it on! The good news is that over time, it becomes much easier to put on and take off. I’ve had mine a week or so, and I no longer have that problem.

Overall, I’d give it a thumbs up. It’s soft, and it does what it is designed to do. Worth the 24.50 + shipping in my opinion. Cheap insurance.

If you already have a nice case to put your laptop in that will not scratch the top case, I'd recommend the ScreensavRz product from RadTech. It prevents the keymarks from getting on the screen just as well, and you don't have to deal with the annoyance of stretching a tight sleeve over the screen every time you want to put the pb away.
