I also posted this on Appleinsider but figured I would here as well. I recently bought an iBook from someone on this forum, and it works great. He had already applied the OF hack, but I did not think that clamshell mode was enabled, so I wanted to reapply it to see if I could get it to work. So I used Screen Spanning Doctor to uninstall it, restarted fine. When I installed the hack and rebooted, it went right to Open Firmware and gave me the following error:

Method <SetQuietEnable> not found; ihandle=0 phandle=0

Typing mac-boot lets it boot up just fine, but I don't want the Mac to default boot into that, especially considering I do not plan to keep the iBook for more than 6 months to a year. (Depends on what the next rev on the Powerbooks are). Tried zapping Pram, unstalling and reapplying hack, typing reset-nvram and reset-all to no avail. Still does the same hting. Also repaired permissions. If someone has some insight Iw ould really appreciate it. Thanks.

Other resets include the PMU reset and a logic board reset. The logic board reset involves changing the RAM configuration and resetting the PRAM three times.

ACSA 10.4/10.3, ACTC 10.3, ACHDS 10.3

Here is how I solved it. I unplugged everything from the unit, took the battery out, and let it sit for a minute. Put battery back in, booted it up and it worked! So I shut it down to try again and in the process plugged back in my USB Hub. Then it messed up again! So I tried unlplugging the hub and it worked! Then I unplugged everything from the hub and it worked again! So, it appears it is an issue with my HP 2410 all in one printer! Thanks for all your help, now I gotta figure out what the heck is happening. I had no issues like this with my G4 Cube. So I guess this had nothing to do with the spanning hack, it was because last night I finally moved all the way from my Cube and plugged the hub in and had no reason to restart until I started messing with the OF patch. Thanks again!
