so, shortly after purchasing a PB G4 12in to replace my iBook G3, Apple decides that they're going to repair iBooks with the logic board problem.
i finally got around to calling Apple yesterday, and they gave me the runaround, claiming that it was probably a different issue (instead of the logic board, the tech claimed that it was probably a cable problem).
i found this interesting because before they started the repair program, i called Apple and they said that it most likely was the logic board, and that it would cost $400+ to fix (this is basically the same message i got from dialing AASP's, + or - on the repair costs).
Now, i'm of course really happy with my powerbook. and i still love Mac's (all the way back to the 512k), but the runaround i'm getting from them about the iBook really has me steaming.
is anyone else having this problem? i told the Apple tech that i'd probably take my iBook into the new Apple store in SF and have a tech look at it in person. Any suggestions?
