If you are like me, I have several ongoing projects that take up quite a bit of space (hundreds of Mbytes). Twice now, I’ve had my machine bog down from these files. Make a folder, move the core files to your DOC or other folder and put an alias on your desktop if you want easy access. You'll be surprised at the new speed of the finder.

Any other less than obvious tips for those less than organized like yours truly?

I have a folder on my desktop called "Desktop Documents" in which I put the majority of files that I want quick access to, yet not have them burried several folders deep.

I also just back up the /user folder on a regular basis.

This is not a PowerBook-specific topic.

Besides, the SIZE of a file is completely irrelevant -- ot doesn't matter if it's 0K or 2GB. It's the NUMBER of files that makes a difference.
