15" PB Hinge Cracking (and other minor tweakies)

Occasionally, when using my 15" PowerBook, I'll tilt the display back some more and it will resist (nothing out of the ordinary) until it makes a single cracking sound. After that, the hinge is fine for a day or two, then it happens again. There is no noticeable loss of resistance after it snaps...it just makes a not-so-good sound, and I'm hoping it's not ruining something inside. Do note that I'm not attempting to push it beyond it's mechanical stop which is built into the design; I'm simply tilting it back within range to get a better angle.
Also, my display is a little warped, but I'm going to put a flat book on it tonight (in about 20 minutes). The right side lifts higher than the left when closed.
My trackpad button is a little loose, as well. I can tap it lightly and it will click a little, but not enough to depress the switch under the metal of the mouse button. It's not bad, but it's sometimes distracting. Been like that since I got it, and I never noticed it until I clicked the mouse of another PowerBook of the same model.
Thoughts/suggestions?

Is your laptop under warranty? Bring it in for repair. Both of those are odd.

Yes, it is. Is it something they could do at an Apple Store? I can't really go several days without my PB..I do most of my work on it.

I have two PB 15's in my house and have examined several others. I can't comment on the trackpad, but on the display issues, all the ones I've seen have this. The "creak" is more or less common depending on individual units, but even units where it feels looser, do this on occassion. Also everyone I've looked at, the right side is very slightly higher than the left.
There isn't anything they can do for this at an Apple store. You should let them check but they will either say it's normal or if you insist they can send it in for repair.

I'm also worried they would replace the display itself. I'm not about to give up my dead-pixel free, white spot-less display to get rid of a creak once in a while...yet..
