hello guys just a quick question...

since you updated to 10.3.3, are you experiencing some small hissing coming out the right speakers, near the on/off button. Its not the usual hissing from the HDD but something else. Like a small "crrrrrrrr" sound...

any ideas?

Nothing like that coming from mine - I have a rev B 1.33 - if that matters.

I get the same thing on my 15" AL, except I might call it more of a buzz. It is most noticeable when a QT movie preview is loaded when in column view. It mostly goes away when something else is selected.

I also heard HD noise (kind a pulsed and faint beeping) when transferring files over ethernet today.

Same here. Nothing with 10.3.2, but after the upgrade, there is a slight buzz coming from that area.

I get a hiss, but its related to the display brightness so I assume its the inverter for the backlight on the display. On max brightness it goes though.

Look at this link

The hissing/sizzling has been around for a while not associated with 10.3.3

Yup, i found this:

================================================== ====================
The sizzling sound is quite apparent in my 17" PB (1.33ghz). It does not come from the speakers but from a location to right of center of the keyboard.

It can only be heard (as far as I can ascertain) under the following conditions:

(1) AC adapter plugged in.
(2) Energy Saver Preferences panel set to Custom.
(3) Settings For: Power Adapter.
(4) Options Tab - CLICKED OPEN
(5) Processor Performance: HIGHEST

With Processor Performance set to REDUCED or AUTOMATIC
the sizzling is not detectable.

Given the number of similar reports I think this is a CPU issue of some kind. It may not be a serious issue, but it is an issue that should be addressed by Apple.
================================================== ====================

Same probs as mine..
its a fact that im dope.
