Hi all,
Just want to show some photos that I took of my iBooks. I think it'll come in handy for those who want to compare between the older G3 tray-load CD-drives and the newer G4 slot-load.
I've owned both and I do appreciate the slot-load more!
enjoy!

cheers,

hiya polendo!
oh, no, the desk is a typical university student desk. Its just that my friend had a transition period from a PC laptop to an iBook, so that's why the mess! =P
Yeah, I agree more people should put photos of their iBook computers up as well!
cheers,

well, i must say that the 14inch version has its own merits when compared to the 12inch powerbook g4. I'm sure you know about the cache and cpu speed difference.
If you favour a bigger screen but not so much a 15inch on the powerbook, then the iBook is a bargain.
But I prefer compactness and small footprint, so 12inch will do for me!

hardcool> thanks! yeah, i'm just studying in bristol, so most of my recent photographs are of the city here.
tekno_geek911> oops! I didnt realise you had the rev a pbg4. You are right about the speed gain but I believe it is not a good time to upgrade now. The iBook G4 line looks set to be refreshed soon, so I would say hang on for a few weeks more.

yeah my thoughts are the same, not a good time.
great pictures, and thanks for doing that, seeing that I really see the difference.
and being in mix of wanting to upgrade and waiting to see what's next ? I think I'll have to wait for a bit?

history1me> Well, unless you really need a new computer immediately, otherwise I believe the wise thing to do is to hold off. The last thing you want to happen is for Apple to release new machines sometime after you've received your purchase. Thanks and hope it helped with your decision! =P
