Hey,
For some reason, when I restarted my 17" Powerbook (Rev. A - 1ghz), the keyboard started behaving very strangely and I couldn't type normally.
When I type on the keyboard it does not type alphabetic letters, only numbers on the right side of the keyboard. Let me show you what I mean:

Normal: QWERTYUIOP[]\
My PB: 456*
Normal: ASDFGHJKL;’
My PB: 123-
Normal: ZXCVBNM,./
My PB: 0 .+

Basically, it looks like the right side of the keyboard has turned into what you normally see on the right side of a full extended keyboard (all numbers used for calculating).
When I plug in an external keyboard, I can type normally again (which is how I'm posting this). I have a feeling that this is a software issue, but I don't know how to fix it. Anyone have any ideas that could help? I really need to use my laptop to take notes. Thanks in advance.

No, if Num Lock were on, no letters would be typed, only the numbers.

In fact, the problem is that the Fn key is pressed or stuck down.

It seems that only numbers are being typed, and no letters. I think melman101 is right.

I fixed the problem, thanks for your help. I cleaned the keys on the keyboard, which were sticking.
