The logic board on my 700mhz iBook died again today for the 4th time, Apple was nice enough to offer to replacement. They are sending a me 900 mhz g3 ibook, my question is, do the 900mhz models suffer the same problems with faulty video card/logic board whatever? The guy mentioned that there is a redesigned logicboard, so I figure I might as well get the faster processor, bigger hard drive ect. and get the logic board replaced with the new one if it dies. I like the old clear plastic and metal hinge of my 700mhz one, but oh well I need more drive space.

I got the 900MHz iBook too. My iBook is not in the range so I would think the iBook Apple is going to send you wouldn't be either.

The range of the serial number of the iBooks that have the video problem is UV220XXXXXX to UV318XXXXXX. My is UV325XXXXXX so yours should be ok from the video problem
