Battery draining after shutdown.

Here's my problem. If I charge my battery up to 100% and then shutdown the computer, when I power up the battery will have lost quite a bit of its charge. After about 12 hours it will drop to about 90%. After 1-2 days, about 80-82%.

This is relatively new behavior (3 weeks?) after 3 months of no problems. Also, it happens with both of my batteries, so it doesn't seem to be a battery problem, but rather a draw problem.

I had not run any recent updates or anything prior to the problem.

Hope someone can help with this.

Thanks.

Reset the Power Manager (PMU). Do a forum search here, or search Apple's support page, for the link to Apple's page that tells you how to reset it.

Just to clarify this is when you shut down, right? the reason I say this is because if you are just putting it in sleep mode this is quite normal.

Thanks for the replies.

Yes, it's after shutdown, not sleep. I've also tried resetting the PMU, with no help there either.
