I am a proud owner of a TiPB and at the moment I am using also a PC to do some engineering work that I can't do on my Mac. But I don't have any speakers for the PC, and I was wondering if I could get sound out of the PC through the speakers of the PB, as the PB has a line-in for audio. Is this possible?

Thanks.

That would be the MOST expensive set of computer speakers I've ever heard of!

Check out the application "Detour" from www.macupdate.com

It allows you to reroute sound from one internal path to another. It may help you out in what you are doing.

But really, why not plop down $40 for a set of speakers for your PC?! You've obviously spent some on your laptop, what's another $40?

Have you considered using Microsoft's RDC to run your PC remotely through your TiPB? It would solve your sound problem.

If your "engineering work" includes video games, though, then you can forget it.

What is MS RDC? Never heard of it. I use the PC for games sometimes...but to run my Engineer work from my Mac would be good.

Tell me more!

The forum has a lot of info on how to increase displayed colors and make other tweaks, so do a search. RDC runs circles around VPC in terms of speed. I can run LabView, for instance, on a Windows XP machine remotely from my Mac from anywere in the country.
