Updated to 10.3.3, and baught a spindle of CDRs ive been using for ages. With i updated to Jaguar...it got a bit picky and spat out like 50% of the blanks i put in.

Now after getting upto 10.3.3, it accepts every disc but once i hit the burn button in any program.... Toast, Finder,iTues, etc...i get an error code and it spits the CDR out, untouched. i pop the same CDRs into an eMac on my campus and they burn flawlessley. whats going on here ? it's extremely annoying.
All media, CDs, burnd CDR/RWs and DVDs all work just fine.
I'm on a 550Mhz combo drive tiPBG4.

What do i need to do to fix this ?

Cheers.

I have no answer but I have a very similar problem. About 3 weeks after going to 10.3.2 none of my apps would burn data anymore--they all suddenly got partway through a burn and hung hard, requiring a force-quit (and restart in Toast). Lots of room on HD, Reinstalled all apps--Toast, Dragon, Diskblaze, ran disk warrior, permissions, Onyx, etc.
After a hang in Toast, often when I force restart/reboot, the MCE CD-RW (early matshita UJD310A) is not recognized and I must restart again. Disk utility will simply quit without burning data as well but all apps will burn disk images.
I got around this by staying in OSX but burning in Toast 5xx from the OS9 partition (toast provides it's own drivers in 5.xx) but suddenly that has also started to hang. There is no firmware update for CD-RW but I don't really believe that is the issue anyway--I think it is the driver in 10.3.x, but have no idea how to fix this. Update to 10.3.3 has not helped. I've created about 30 coasters now. I'm open to suggestions also.
TIA
