will a sas be able to be read from ata.
I http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...&CatId=468 see this for ata to sata. as a example or something smaller. can some one help me find something smaller.

I haven't seen any smaller PATA to SATA adapters. And that certainly wont work with any G4s, you wouldn't be able to get the door closed with that thing.

What on earth is "sas"?

There aren't any SATA notebook drives yet (announced, though!), and as such, no notebooks with SATA.

sas is the serial scsi at 1.6gb persecond and up to 3gb per second. Iv seen the adaptors from sata to ata but not the question is will it fit in a power book. will i have to take out the optical drive to accomplish this etc?!?
