hiya, I bought a G4 12'' ibook about a week ago, and I just realised that the space bar of the keyboard is a little up on the right so the space bar appears not 100% parallel(lower on the left and upper on the right).

I wonder if this is common. I removed the keyboard once earlier in order to add ram. I cant remember if the space bar was already like that when it's new or the problem was caused when I added ram.

Also, I found one dead pixel on upper left of the screen, but it's not very visible. I wonder if I need to send it to Apple for repair.

hi

I have both of the two problems you explianed. the weird thing about the dead pixel is that it's a little blue one in the middle of my screen on the left hand size. Sometimes though this disappears and is replaced with a red pixel in the middle, but top of the screen. They never appear together, anyone have any idea what is going on?

Also aswell as these two problems I also have an unflush battery.

None of these problems really bother me at all, the only thing that does is the unflush battery, but it hasn't caused a problem and I've learned to live with it.

Dead pixels are very common with LCD (flat panel) screens. They're inevitable. An iBook's screen, for example, has 786,432 pixels (1024x768). If screen manufacturers wanted to get 100% perfect screens every time, the cost would be outrageous.
Apple, like most other companies, will offer warranty replacement if you have +/- 5 dead pixels in close proximity. This is reasonable.
Sometimes, lightly rubbing a dead or stuck pixel can bring it "back to life," but otherwise you'll just have to live with it.

My spacebar is crooked too, also raised on the right. I've tried taking off the key, and reseating it, but it doesn't seem to make a difference. Annoying in a very subtle way, I agree.
