just re-installed 10.2 to get classic for some games but when it had finished it wouldnt accept my password!!!!
id rather not have to resort to formating it

it was running 10.3 fine then i wanted to play a classic game so i slpaaed in the 10.2 discs and did an install with archive selected for previous settings it has put my user and my general user up but i cant access either wth old or new password!!!

insert the CD and restart. then instead of re-installing OS X, look under one of the menus for the option.

ok new problem!!!

got all the passwords sorted including root while i was there which proved a good idea as it tunred out when logging into my area it took me to a full screen old style darwin command line ui
so i have been using roots area.

it also tunrs out classic wasnt there oh well i can put up with that.

now, however, without the discs i wish to go back to 10.3. i assume this is possible as i did an archive install of 10.2 so it should be there shouldnt it?

so is this possible to return to 10.3 without the discs here? help before 3:00am GMT most welcome as i need to take my iBook to france with no net after that
