I have this Pismo PowerBook, and it won't take power from any ac adapters. it runs off the battery, but plugged into AC it gets nothing. Is this a bad DC/Charge board?
Probably -- this was the identical symptom for an old Lombard I recently repaired. The card ran ~$95 for the Lombard and took about 1-2 hours to replace because I had to practically dismantle the entire machine.
Are you sure the AC adapter works? I've had two of those fail on me before the card problem. And I had some unusual symptoms before it completely failed.
